Still stuck at the same ELO?

Discover the hidden habits costing you games, and fix them

Frustrated that you keep playing below your ability?

Sia analyses your chess history to identify the patterns holding you back and helps you eliminate them with simple work-ons and drills.

FACT: It isn't lack of chess knowledge that's holding you back

You do all the right things: study openings, solve puzzles, analyse your games. So why isn't your rating going up?

You're sure you know more chess than your results suggest. And you're right. Truth is, as an amateur player, most of your losses aren't simply due to lack of chess knowledge.

You throw away a significant number of games simply because you fail to execute what you already know.

Sia shows me the habits that actually hurt my rating.

Most tools show you what you do wrong.

Sia helps you see why.

Game analysis shows you your mistakes. But it misses the key patterns behind your losses. For example…

  • Mistakes you make when you play too fast.
  • Rushing your moves in the endgame.
  • Forgetting to look after king safety when you're attacking.
  • Getting careless in winning positions.
  • Missing when your opponents blunder or hang pieces.
  • Overlooking checks or checkmate opportunities.
  • Catastrophic one-move blunders.
  • Even resigning in playable positions.

Fix the lowest holes in your bucket.

We lose chess games for a variety of reasons.

Some holes are gaps in your knowledge. Errors in knowledge can get you into worse positions, but at beginner or intermediate level they rarely decide games.

Fixing the top “knowledge” holes will have relatively little effect on your results.

Instead, focus on the errors that you know afterwards are bad. Where you underperform compared to what you know.

“90% of what I do wrong… I know I’ve done it wrong after I’ve done it.”

These ones are not errors of understanding, but of execution. That's what Sia will show you.

Sia compares how often you make certain types of errors compared to your peers.

All players around your rating have different strengths & weaknesses.

Your most common & costly errors are your most important “work-ons”.

How Sia turns your game history into actionable work-ons.

1

Find the patterns behind your mistakes

Sia processes hundreds of your real games, comparing your play against a library of recurring error patterns.

2

Work out which habits hurt your rating most

Not all mistakes matter equally. Sia estimates which behavioural patterns are genuinely hurting your results.

3

See exactly when and why they happen

Understand why your thinking failed in key moments, and what practical steps could help you avoid similar errors in future.

Here are my top 3 Insights from Sia.

When I hang my own pieces, I statistically lose 13 more games out of every 100.

I lose almost as many games due to one-move blunders.

I hang mate-in-one in 7% of games (although it's not always punished).

Example for a real player (me).

From my last 200 blitz games, Sia shows you all yout most costly patterns, in order of which are likely to cost you the most games.

The reports will tell you exactly what changes to make to your gameplay to help reduce each risk.

The Drill feature shows you where you went wrong, how fast you played, and lets you prove that you are often capable of finding better moves.

That means you can focus only on your most severe “holes” and minimise avoidable losses.

Sample report.

Sia lets you did deep into your key work-ons, giving you all the info you need to understand the situations where you keep making the same types of errors.

For example, this is my report for hanging my own pieces. (Click to open in a new tab.)

Sia is telling me:

  • How many games it's likely to cost me. (When I do it my average result drops from -0.04 to -0.33 per game, where 1 is a win and -1 is a loss.)
  • How frequent it is (84 of my last 193 blitz games).
  • How much it's hurting my results — and consequently my ELO! (Costs me an estimated 12.9 game points per 100 games.)
  • Whether I do this more or less frequently than other players in my rating range — and compare frequency against both weaker and stronger players.
  • Tips for what to focus on when playing.
  • How fast I tend to move when hanging pieces.
  • At what phases in the game I do it most.
  • And whether I'm likely to do it more when in a better or worse position.
Important: These are MY results from recent play and for ONE particular insight. Your biggest errors and work-ons will certainly be different.

Exclusive Founder's Group offer

One-time Pre-launch Opportunity!

Sia is already producing genuine insights from real games. But this is still the early build. The core engine works. The reports are improving. The insight library is growing. The training features are being added piece by piece.

Right now there is only one way to get your hands on this intelligence: by joining my Founder's Group.

Lifetime* access, pre-launch only

Founder members get lifetime* access to Sia for a one-time payment. This offer is only available before the public subscription launch.

Once Sia moves into regular monthly pricing, no new Founder's Group places with lifetime* access will be offered.

May and June 2026 are high-touch

In this next phase, I’ll continue to work directly with Founder members through their insights on weekly 2-hour calls (usually Sunday evenings, 7-9pm UK time).

That means you’ll get your reports interpreted personally in collaboration with me, with practical work-ons you can take into your games immediately.

New insights added weekly

From June 2026, I’ll be adding new insight types every week. Some will be tactical, some positional, but most are behavioural. Insights will come collaboratively from patterns we find in Founder members’ own games.

More than reports

Sia is moving toward a much more active training system. Reports show you the pattern. The next step is helping you recognise it before you repeat it.

I’m also working on a future Live Coaching layer, designed to bring your known patterns into training games in real time.

This Founder offer is for early adopters who want fast results.

Sia is already proving incredibly useful, and it is still being built in public with a small group of serious improvers.

“Of all the chess sessions I've done, this has been by far the most useful.”

Ian, Founder member

You’ll get lifetime* access, direct help interpreting your reports, founder calls, and the chance to influence what Sia analyses next.

If you want polished, self-serve software, wait for the public launch. If you want to help shape a new model of chess improvement from the inside, Founder Access is for you!

Founder Access

Founder members get lifetime* access to Sia, direct access to the founder, weekly calls, early features, and the opportunity to help shape a completely new approach to chess improvement.

Founder calls will run regularly through the pre-launch phase and for at least the first few months after launch. After that, I’ll review the format based on what’s most useful for members.
